The aim of Expedition

Tyler Bakker

Children are treasured at First Free! Our mission is to provide a safe, child-friendly environment where children will trust in Christ and grow in Him. We are intentional about planting seeds of the Gospel in the hearts of even our youngest children by means of creative and engaging Bible lessons and through trusted personal relationships. Once children have trusted in Christ, we want to assist their parents in providing what they need to grow in their relationships with Him.

Pre-K to Sixth Grade

Skills-based classes will be offered twice a month starting in October. Possibly activities include woodworking, pottery, a Chirstmas-themed craft, and more!

Zoom groups will meet once a month. Groups will be determined by age and gender.

Kids' Camp @ Home (Subscription Box)

Kids' Camp @ Home Subscription Boxes come with age-appropriate materials (Pre-K to Sixth Grade) to explore the Bible together as a family.

Each box includes four lessons with supporting activities to be completed throughout the month. Lessons will follow the same Gospel Project for Kids curriculum used in Chapel Time each Sunday. Boxes could be used it if you stay home on Sundays, in place of Expedition on Wednesdays or anytime you would like fun Bible-based activities! Subscription boxes will start in October.

Security and Check-in

Parents check their child(ren) in at the check-in kiosk and print out security badges for their child(ren) and themselves, with a matching security number. Our strict security policy requires adults to present their security badge in order to pick up children from Children’s Ministries classrooms.

Adult volunteers and staff serving in Children’s Ministries are required to complete an application with references, agree to ministry policies, undergo a background check, and complete MinistrySafe Sexual Abuse Awareness Training. Senior-high-aged volunteers go through an application and training process as well. MinistrySafe provided the framework of our security measures; learn more by clicking the logo below.
