TUESDAY STUDIES
Tuesday Treasures Tuesday Treasures meets Tuesday mornings, September - May, from 9:30-11:30 beginning September 9, 2008.
We begin at 9:30 a.m. with coffee and treats and a time of fellowship, followed by a time of large-group worship, and small group discussions of the lesson. Our purpose is to bring women to maturity in Jesus Christ by grounding them in God's Word. Childcare is provided on a pre-registered basis.
Women of all ages gather to study God's Word, and support each other through prayer and deep relationships. This year we will study Covenant. Join us as we trace covenant through all of Scripture, and see how God's covenant towards us gives us the confidence to approach Him freely and receive His grace. Stand firm in your faith, as you realize the depth of God's faithfulness and the lengths to which He has gone to bring us into covenant with Himself. This study will change your life!
Evening Treasures Evening Treasures meets Tuesdays, September-May, from 7:00-8:30 p.m. in Room 201, beginning September 9, 2008.
We will be studying Covenant this year - the same curriculum that Tuesday Treasures will be using. See comments above. The study of God's Covenant is a life-keeping God.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT STUDIES
Woman After God's Own Heart LORD, Where Are You When Bad Things Happen? - by Kay Arthur Beginning September 10, 2008 we meet each Wednesday at 6:45 p.m. in the Reception Room.
You are welcome to join this group as we learn how our all-powerful, all-wise and all-loving God could allow chaos, tragedy and broken relationships. We will look for answers in the Old Testament book of Habakkuk. This study will help us know God, understand Him and love Him more fully as we learn to walk by faith. We will do individual daily studies, discus the lessons, share needs, encourage one another, pray and grow together.
Growth Through Discovery The Gospel of Matthew Beginning September 17, 2008 we meet each Wednesday at 6:45 p.m. in Room 201.
Matthew provides the bridge that links the Old Testament with the New Testament. The Old Testament prophets had clearly and strongly declared that the Messiah would come and establish His kingdom rule over all the earth. Matthew wonderfully reveals that Jesus is that long awaited King ("Son of David"), and it closes with His proclamation, "all authority has been given to Me in heaven and in earth" (28:18). Matthew begins with the miracle of His virgin birth and ends with the miracle of His resurrection. As we study this marvelous book, we will grow deeper in our understanding of the life of the Lord Jesus Christ, and what it means to follow Him. Matthew is truly a glorious book which deepens our understanding of God and makes us increasingly aware of our great need for His grace.
In this class we endeavor to help each person learn how to study the Bible. We pray for one another, and we earnestly desire to help one another grow in our love for Christ and in obedience to His Word.
