Junior High (Grades 7-8)
Junior High foundations (Grades 7-8)
When: Sundays at 9:00 a.m. (note new time)
Where: Room 107
Start Date: September 14
Jr. High students will explore many of the parables of Jesus to see how these parables can help them better understand Jesus. The class format varies each week with class discussions, object lessons and teaching time. The teachers are committed to making the lessons interesting and interactive so that each Jr. High student will walk away knowing more about God as well as wanting to live for Him each day.
The C.O.R.E. meets Wednesday evenings at 6:40 p.m. in the High School Room. For more information, contact Pastor Dave Bostrom at 651-777-5180.
The CORE (Christ Our Real Example) (Grades 7-8)
When: Wednesdays, 6:40 - 8:05 p.m.
Where: Room 102
Students actively participate in learning the necessary tools to live an effective life. The evening may include large group games, praise and worship, service projects, outreach events, small group discussions and interactive lessons. This fall, we will begin to look at the seven most important things (The 7 Checkpoints) Christian students need before they graduate. The curriculum is designed to help students not just learn things about God the Father and Jesus Christ, but how to live them out in their lives daily. The CORE is a great place for Jr. High students to get to know one another and have their friends join them for fun, while learning important biblical truths.
Pizza & Gab/Fall Blast Breakaway/Gym Outreach Nights (Grades 7-12)
When: Pizza & Gab - Nov. 19 & April 1 - Fellowship Hall
Fall Blast Breakaway - Oct. 22 - Activity Center
Gym Night - Jan. 21 - Family Center
Theme: Pizza & Gab (Nov. 19 - Entertaining Thoughts)
The Jr. High has many great opportunities during the year outside the regularly scheduled small groups on Wednesday evenings. Two Pizza & Gab nights feature free pizza and a topic for the students to learn more about, and ask questions. We will also have a Fall Blast Outreach event on October 22. A Gym Outreach Night will be offered. It features many great gym games, and other activities that allow for the "not so athletic" to be fully engaged. Also during the evening, a clear Gospel message will be shared with all the students.
