Church Backgrou
nd
Jonathan was born and raised in north-central Wisconsin.  He grew up in a ministry family, attending several Evangelical Free Churches as his father accepted new pastorates.  Jonathan prayed to receive Jesus as Lord and Savior when he was six years old.  He was led by his mother who had been told by his favorite Sunday school teacher that he was ready for such an invitation.  Jonathan's experiences growing up in a ministry family and being given countless opportunities to serve have prepared him in many ways for his current ministry role.

Family Background
Jonathan is the youngest of four brothers.  His siblings and their families are spread throughout the United States.  Growing up mainly in rural Wisconsin, Jonathan has a great appreciation for the outdoors - camping, canoeing, fishing, etc.  He also prefers  to spend his free time with his family and working on projects in his woodshop.  Jonathan and his wife, Yvonne (also an elementary teacher) have three daughters, Abigail (9/7/04) Anna (2/25/06) Alexandra (1/17/09) and a son, Andrew Ryan (7/20/07).  Yvonne is Jonathan's closest partner in ministry, serving alongside him as Early Childhood Director.

Greatest Satisfaction
Seeing children making wise choices after they have begun to understand their identities in Christ and have resolved to live for Him.

Greatest Challenge
Learning to delegate.  Realizing that although I may enjoy most every task in children's ministries, my responsibility is to equip and empower others to serve our children and families according to their gifting and abilities.

Vision for the Future
Equipped, empowered adults and youth evangelizing and discipling children who will confidently stand for Christ and engage the world with His Gospel.
